ABOUT MICHELLE PATRICK

Michelle Faye Patrick is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans photography, theater direction, choreography, and performing arts. Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, she brings a dynamic creative vision to diverse artistic mediums.

As a photographer, Patrick has gained international recognition, earning the prestigious Boynes Artist Award in July 2025. Her solo photography exhibition "GRACE" has been featured at multiple Las Vegas-Clark County Library District locations throughout 2025, including the West Las Vegas Library and Whitney Library, where her work explores themes of black identity and community.

Patrick is an active voice in Nevada's arts community, serving as a moderator for the Nevada Women's Film Festival panel "The State of Arts & Culture: More Than Sin City" at UNLV's Department of Film in June 2025. She previously served as a juror and presenter for the festival's Femmy Awards in 2024, demonstrating her commitment to supporting women in film and the arts. She also presented as a co-host at Shameless Unplugged with Eccentric Artists in September 2025.

Her theatrical background is equally versatile. In Las Vegas, she co-starred in "Lifespan of a Fact" for Majestic Theater Company in 2024 and directed "The Witches" for Rainbow Company Youth Theater in 2019. Prior to relocating to Nevada, Patrick was deeply involved in Utah's theater scene with the Salt Lake Acting Company, where she performed in "Good People" (2013) and "In The Next Room" (2012), choreographed "Once on This Island" (2012), and directed the critically acclaimed production of "For Colored Girls Who've Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf..." (2011).

Patrick's work has been featured in numerous publications and media outlets, including Nevada Humanities, Chic Compass, and Boynes Arts Award interviews, establishing her as an emerging cultural contributor to the Southwest arts landscape. Through her diverse artistic practice, she continues to challenge perspectives and create spaces for meaningful dialogue through visual and performing arts.

Michelle currently serves as an arts administrator with the Nevada Arts Council, where she leads statewide organizational community development initiatives and provides critical grant support to artists and cultural institutions. Her administrative career includes significant roles with the City of Las Vegas, Denver Center for the Performing Arts, and the Sundance Film Festival. She has also served as a panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts.

Originally from Queens, New York, Michelle is a graduate of the legendary Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts and a YoungArts alumna. She holds a BA from Bradford College. Throughout her career, she has served as an advisory member for numerous non-profit arts organizations across the U.S. Western region and currently sits on the Advisory board for the Nevada Women's Film Festival.

In 2026, Michelle will also debut, LOCAL TIME, a web series highlighting local business owners where she also serves as the Executive Producer, and creator.
